There's a dedicated team behind Ipswich Car Radios, led by Paul Frost (far right).
His wife Wendy assists on sales, while Andy Ayers supports Paul both in the shop and in the workshop as an installer.
Paul has worked in the business since July 1987, under the then owner, Dennis Austin, who founded Ipswich Car Radios in 1973.
Paul served an apprenticeship at Lancasters Mercedes as an automotive electrician. Mercedes were fitting leading in-car entertainment brands such as Alpine, so Paul soon became very familiar with the technology. His growing interest in car audio tempted him to join Ipswich Car Radios, where he could then specialise. His interest grew into a passion, and he bought the business from Dennis in the summer of 2001.
Andy is also passionate about the job and has his own on-going car audio project, which in time will become another of the store's demo cars. As with Paul, being an installer as well as a shopfloor salesman allows Andy to give expert advice thanks to his knowledge of specific vehicles, what's practical and what kind of results can be achieved.
The fourth but no less important member of the team is Steve, the accountant, who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Being an accountant he shuns fame and hid himself away in the cupboard!
Wendy, of course, is the brains of the outfit.
